ABC Arte

ABC-ARTE supports artists engaged in experimenting with different languages ​​and formats, with a predilection for abstraction. For about twenty years, the gallery has been studying and examining the work of international masters of the second half of the twentieth century, exploring figures from the Neo-avant-garde, whose quality makes a current critical rereading appropriate.

Alongside this path, ABC ARTE has opened the doors of the most recent Milanese venue ABC-ARTE ONE OF, to young artists from all over the world. In support of that experimental audacity that has always characterized the historical-artistic avant-gardes, ABC ARTE has decided to rely on the vivid expressive power of artists of the new generation, in the hope of being able to contribute to rewriting the codes of an unprecedented, refined and increasingly surprising parodic language in the field of contemporary art, underlining its most material aspect.

Each project created (or supported at public institutions or museums) is accompanied by the publication of a volume in the series edited by ABC-ARTE, in collaboration with the artists themselves, and with international critics and curators.

The traditional and historic Genoese gallery ABC-ARTE, thanks to its location in the historic center of Genoa, overlooking the arcades of the Eastern Market, combines its vocation as a point of reference in the Italian contemporary art scene with an openness towards the city, with specific actions aimed at creating a relationship with a less conventional audience.

The Milanese branch ABC-ARTE ONE OF, is located in the evocative context of Piazza Sant’Eustorgio, near important cultural institutions such as the Diocesan Museum and the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation. The new project “ONE OF” indicates the plurality of experiences to which the gallery will dedicate itself from now on, by means of site-specific exhibitions placed within a space with renewed and new connotations.
