Bar Noe

German Björn Kussner and Catalan Mireia Bigorra have opened a restaurant
in Eixample where they offer Nordic cuisine with Japanese and
Mediterranean touches

They decided to call it Noe because that was the name of the bar that Bigorra
great-grandparents and grandparents ran for years on a corner next to the old Els
Encants market. In fact, although their proposal is completely different from
that of those ancestors, as a nod they wanted to keep the old Bar Noe sign,
which has been on display at the back of the new establishment for a month. It
doesn’t have much to do with the rest of the elements of the establishment,
designed on a tight budget by the couple themselves with an organic and
minimalist line that is quite welcoming.

The menu designed by Kussner, who comes from haute cuisine and who trained
working in starred restaurants around the world, including the Australian Attica,
is short because for the moment this chef is alone in the kitchen. Even so, he
offers 14 dishes, desserts aside, ranging from appetizers to start with to larger
portions to share.
